Helgafell is a volcanic mountain located on Heimaey, the largest island in the Vestmannaeyjar archipelago in Iceland. It is a popular hiking destination, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape.

There is no admission fee to visit Helgafell and it is accessible year-round. The hiking trail to the summit is approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 km) long and takes about 45 minutes to an hour to complete.

There is no official website for Helgafell, but visitors can find information and directions at the Vestmannaeyjar Tourist Information Center.

In the surrounding area, visitors can also explore the Eldheimar Museum, which tells the story of the 1973 volcanic eruption that buried parts of Heimaey. The museum is open daily from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and admission is approximately 1,800 ISK (about $15 USD).

Other nearby attractions include Stórhöfði, the southernmost point of Heimaey, and the Sæheimar Aquarium, which showcases the diverse marine life of the area. The aquarium is open daily from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and admission is approximately 1,500 ISK (about $12 USD).
